Craig started his career as a distiller with Ocean King Distillers, a fresh venture more than 20 years back at the age of 21.Ever since then hasn't looked back and gone on to create a number of mystical blends.He has since grown to become one of the most popular master distillers.
Since the early days at Ocean King, he was always fascinated with the idea of creating a world class Single Malt whisky in the State of Goa. He has finally been able to pull off the Prestige in the form of Celia, meaning Heavenly.
Craig comes from a family that has been producing spirits for over 60 years, due to which he was familiar with distillation and blending. His ethos is always to give back to society that he has grown from and he has achieved it by giving the Consumer a world class single malt from the state of Goa.
Craig has become a guiding force, shaping the landscape of distillation in the picturesque state. As a master distiller and founder, his influence extends beyond Ocean King Distillers, resonating across the vibrant spirits community in Goa. Craig has decided to dedicate this whisky to his father Mr. Antonio Jose Henriques, the founder of Rhea Distilleries, which was the first distillery in Goa . It was the first distillery to commence production of high quality Urrak and Feni. His vision was to make Goa proud and make Feni and urrak available internationally.
His Legacy is taken forward by his elder son Regan Henriques, Director at Rhea Distilleries, the largest producer of Feni in the world. Mr. Jose was also the first in Goa to produce a single malt whisky in India. A legendary blender and distiller in himself , he was always been open to sharing his thoughts and ideas with regards to his craft and many well renowned distillers have been inspired to enter the profession.
